The Topcon legacy of Retinal Cameras are divided into 2 categories.
The retinal cameras that use the:
| Topcon MT-1 35mm film backs | |

We manufacture iMACAM adapters to replace both MT-1 and the MT-10 35mm film backs
THE iMACAM MT-1 SYSTEMS
The iMACAM MT-1 system will retro-fit the following models of retinal cameras:
TRC-50F, 50V, 50VT, 50X, 50XF, 50IA
We have 2 iMACAM MT-1 mydriatic systems:
1. Our iMACAM MT-1 Lower port mounted system and
2. Our iMACAM MT-1 upper port mounted system
I.The iMACAM MT-1 Lower Port Digital System
This system mounts to the lower port of the Topcon retinal camera with a Canon 5D
Mark II digital camera.
The Canon 5D Mark II has a HD live video mode which we display through a high definition monitor.
This live HD video image is then viewed and used to focus the retinal camera.
This system is highly favored when you have:
| multiple users, because there is no eyepiece to refocus between users | |
| less experienced users - Anyone can use the retinal camera because what you see (on the HD monitor) is what you get (as a captured image), this insures good results, since the digital chip in the canon 5D MARK II camera that is producing the HD live image is same one that produces the captured final image | |
| a retinal camera that does not have a top port. Example: Topcon TRC-50F, 50XF or 50FX |
II. The iMACAM MT-1 Upper Port Digital System
This is our latest achievement. We have taken a Topcon 1X relay lens and made it digital.
This system:
| is mounted to the upper port of the Topcon retinal camera | |
| is always in par focal | |
| displays the timer information on the image from the retinal camera's timer | |
| has a low profile design | |
| is so simple to install it can easily be drop shipped, which can provide for a big cash savings | |
| is compact and thus with a laptop can easily be transported for portability |
The upper port system is highly favored by the true diehard FA photographers that want to view their FA's through the lower port eyepiece of the Topcon MT-1 35 mm film back as the always have.
NOTE: The iMACAM MT-1 upper port digital system:
| Must be used on a retinal camera that has an upper port (will not work on a 50F or 50FX) | |
| allows for no live HD focus capability | |
| can use the Canon 5D or the Canon 5D Mark II |
The iMACAM MT-10 MYDRIATIC SYSTEM
The iMACAM MT-1 system will retro-fit the following models of retinal cameras:
TRC-50EX, 50IX, 50FX
This system mounts to the lower port and can be used in standard focus mode (through the eyepiece of the retinal camera) or
can operate in live HD focus mode if it is used with a Canon 5D Mark II.
The iMACAM MT-10 system:
